Top pick: #1 (WEIR'S GAP) - Colt by "Strong Hope" is improving and will stretch-out in distance this afternoon. He's caught "off" tracks in all three of his starts and that's not an easy thing to do for a young horse. Has the rail and can run these down late.
2nd pick: #5 (Furia d'Oro) - He showed little last out at this price and distance, but had an outside post and couldn't get involved. Has some late kick and can impact this afternoon. He and "Weir's Gap" are from the same trainer (John Servis) but race uncoupled.
3rd pick: #6 (West Birch) - Interesting runner, drop in price, stretches back out in distance, runs second off a two month break, and does so with blinkers on. Can factor for the top spot.
