Oakland at Texas

Oakland improved to 10-8 with an 8-6 win over the Rangers on Friday and Khris Davis continued his hot-hitting with his 10th home run and the Athletics erased a five-run deficit. The Athletics have beaten Texas 22 of the last 30 meetings and they have won the last five at Texas dating to last season. Marco Estrada faced the Rangers once last year and allowed one run on five hits in six innings. Adrian Sampson is making his first start for Texas after starting four games in 2018. Sampson made one appearance against the Athletics last season and it was a disaster as he gave up three runs (two earned) on four hits in just a third of an inning.
