New York at Seattle

Bartolo Colon continues to find success at 40-years-old, pitching to a .500 record at 8-8 for a losing team. He has a lot of career starts vs. this Seattle team, and has pitched here many times, owning career success against the M's where he is 19-12 lifetime. Taijuan Walker is recalled from AAA to make just his third start of the season, likely a showcase for a potential deal that would send him to Tampa Bay for David Price. The Mets got the win, and some momentum with a 3-1 win last night to even the series. Seattle has gotten some solid pitching, but Walker has not been part of that, so I think New York can get to him tonight as they have taken four straight against right-handed pitching. New York has also flourished in interleague road games, at 14-6 in their last 20, and own four wins in Colon's last five starts as a dog. Seattle just 3-10 in their last 13 interleague tilts vs. a right-hander. The fact that Colon has had success vs. Seattle, and the Mariners are not strong offensively, I think is a good spot for Colon to make a quality start. Walker will likely be on a short leash tonight, especially since Seattle has the top bull pen in baseball with a 2.39 ERA from the pen. The Mets have played to an 11-4-1 UNDER mark on the road in their last 16 to a total of 7 to 8.5, and just two of Colon's last eight starts have topped the total when he pitches on regular four days rest. Seattle has been nearly perfect in interleague totals, logging a 7-0-1 mark to the UNDER in interleague play vs. a losing team. The Mariners have been the classic UNDER team, with light hitting and strong pitching resulting in a 37-18-2 mark to the UNDER in their last 57 games overall. Play the Mets and the UNDER.
