This is the fourth straight road game for the defending AL champs, on a 3-3 run. Edinson Volquez is having a rough time lately and goes for the Royals today. He allowed four runs on eight hits and a pair of walks and did not strike out a batter in 5 1/3 innings against Boston on Saturday. Over his last four starts he's allowed 26 hits in 22 innings, 10 walks and 11 runs. The A’s are winners of five straight, and are 5-2 in their last seven home games. The Royals are 2-5 against a starter with a WHIP of less than 1.15 and face Jesse Hahn (3.40), who has allowed 1, 1, 4 and 1 run over his last four starts. Hahn picked up his fifth win of the season Saturday, allowing just one run on four hits over 7.2 innings in a 4-1 win over the Angels. Oakland ranks third in baseball in runs scored, and eighth in OBP.
