Grey gelding tired badly last out after "bobbling" at the break from a tough outside post. Three-year-old meets a very weak field and has a shot at a big price.
2nd pick: #2 (Istan's Fury) (8-1) - He's shown nothing in a trio of starts since returning from almost a 7 month layoff in early May. Four-year-old gelding takes a drop in price and should be competitive against this weak field.
3rd pick: #3 (Honorable Cause) (2-1) - He comes off a career best on June 18th when he chased the pace and tired late to finish third of nine, beaten 12 1/2 lengths racing at this level and trip. Improving, in a good barn (Ron Brown), and this 3-year-old should be involved from start-to-finish.
4th pick: #1 (Ham I Am) (3-1) - Long-time maiden rallied from far back to finish second, 2 1/2 lengths in front of "Cause" last out. Very inconsistent and needs to prove it wasn't just a case of passing tired foes.
