Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #3 (CLOSING STATEMENT) (2-1) - Lasix is added to daughter of 'Blame' who has been working bullets over the deep dirt surface at Payson Park. Sharp in both grass starts in New York, she looks set for her maiden win.
2nd pick: #7 (Sunapee) (15-1) - One of two entered by trainer George Arnold and the pair race uncoupled. Longshot moves to the grass after tiring in her first pair going a mile on the dirt. Bred for the turf (by 'Scat Daddy') she worked fast on Dec. 16 and think she can factor at a big price.
3rd pick: #12 (Giggle Byte) (7-2) - Debuting filly draws a tough post at a difficult distance for her first attempt. However, she's working steadily for trainer Todd Pletcher (22% first out) and he has John Velazquez aboard.
4th pick: #6 (Kathy's Clown) (10-1) - Daughter of 'Malibu Moon' showed some ability when debuting at this trip on the grass Sept. 2. She ran poorly on the dirt in her follow up Nov. 18, but is capable of getting a share at long odds in her return to the infield.
