Top pick: #7 (HEZA GREAT FRIEND) (7-2) - The probable favorite, he finished second last out at Del Mar racing at this level, and trainer Doug O'Neill has worked him locally since. Gelding can take this if he handles the conventional dirt.

2nd pick: #3 (Warren's Tyler S) (6-1) - Price play's best effort came when he finished second on real dirt at Santa Anita last March. Experienced maiden should handle this two-turn trip, and is a win candidate at a square price.

3rd pick: #2 (Kingsbury) (8-1) - Lightly raced gelding has been freshened up since last spring when he finished second in two of three racing on the Santa Anita dirt. In a winning barn (Adam Kitchingman), and one run type breaks just off the rail.

4th pick: #5 (Higher Mandate) (10-1) - He rallied to finish fourth after a troubled break at Del Mar on Aug. 24th in his first back off a 4 1/2 month layoff. His career best came at Santa Anita in late Jan. when he finished third going a mile for a $75K tag.
