Top pick: #4 (LIVE THE FORTH) (6-5) - The probable favorite, filly finished a strong third here facing a much tougher field for a $25K tag six days ago. Trainer Ed Freeman brings her back quickly, and the drop should allow this surface loving runner to get her fourth local win.
2nd pick: #5 (Decoy) (6-1) - Filly raced evenly while very wide at Del Mar Aug. 29 when racing for a $16K tag. She had a tough outside post and draws the much better in her second off almost an eight week vacation. Drops, blinkers go on, and daughter of "Artie Schiller" will be a square price.
3rd pick: #2 (Ramble On Rose) (3-1) - Speedy filly goes turf-to-dirt and goes a bit farther after a solid third-place finish at Santa Rosa on Aug. 8. Capable on real dirt, filly should be involved from start-to-finish.
4th pick: #1 (Queen of the Hill) (4-1) - Grey filly runs third back from a 2 1/2 month layoff and she's been competitive in her return pair. Working well for this and daughter of "Salt Lake" can factor with her best.
