Detroit at Cleveland

I have a lot of respect for Tigers' pitcher Justin Verlander, and apparently so do the oddsmakers. Verlander has proven to be one of the top pitchers in the game over the past few seasons, but there is a caveat. The Tigers are 85-37 when he takes the mound at home, but are just 70-61 when he takes the mound on the road. Those road numbers become negative when he squares off on the road vs. a team that is over .550, as the Tigers are just 17-23. Cleveland isn't just any team that is over .550, they are a hot team, and one that has gone 10-2 as a dog in their last 12, and 10-1 in their last 11 to a total of 7 to 8.5. I like Cleveland as a home dog.
