(# 9) JOE'S PLUM - Two-year-olds are all trying a distance, and most are going on the turf for the first time. This filly by Proud Citizen has been in steady training for some time now. In the top turf barn of Chris Clement, she has a long series of drills, but the two on the grass are outstanding. Makes first start equipped with Lasix and Ramon Dominguez.

(# 3) Grace and Power - Another first-time starter. Daughter of More Than Ready has worked over both surfaces at the Fair Hill Training Center. Has not drilled on grass, but that should be fine as the all-weather surface there is comparable to turf. Trainer Klesaris is great with debut runners (32%).

(# 11) Portifipation - Stretches-out off a turf sprint at Colonial in Virginia. Made up some late ground to finish fifth. Most of her sire's (Include) sons and daughters improve with longer distances.

(# 10) Expect No Love - Speed flashed in the same race that the third pick ran at Colonial. Stayed well to finish second. Pace factor, and maybe more.
