Top pick: #3 (BUNKER HILL) - Was a stakes runner earlier in his career and although he's been going down in class for the past 18 months, 5-year-old is still competitive in these bottom type claimers. He's been sharp in all three starts at this meet since trainer Jamie Ness brought him back from a 7 week freshening in early June. Speed/stalker finished second to today's rival Giron June 13 and came back with another solid effort July 2. Think he can reverse the decision with the No. 7 horse this afternoon.

2nd pick: #6 (Giron) - In excellent form at present, he's won two in a row since returning from a eight month layoff May 14. Six-year-old loves this surface (7-3-1-2), and is 5-for-8 at this distance. The probable favorite and it would be no surprise if he took this.

3rd pick: #4 (Shawhan Select) - Another who has back class to call upon and 4-year-old has been sharp in two of his last three starts. Latest effort saw him finish second beaten a half-length, a contest where he was just a bit better then Bunker Hill. Consistent sort should run well again this afternoon.
