Top pick: #7 (HALO DOLLY) (3-1) - Wonderful mare has won 16-of-32 overall and her grass record stands at 19-10-1-3. She's seeking a repeat in this G2 stakes and has been victorious in 4-of-5 on this course. In shape, working nicely, and she's the top choice.
2nd pick: #6 (Customer Base) (5-1) - Daughter of "Lemon Drop Kid" was compromised by a very slow pace here in the (G2) "John Mabee" stakes on Aug. 11 and finished an even fourth of five that day while being forced to run much closer to the pedestrian fractions. Working well since and she should run well from off the pace.
3rd pick: #5 (Egg Drop) (7-2) - Speedy sort has been freshened up since a near miss at Hollywood on July 6th in a G2 contest. Consistent sort has been sharp in both grass starts and should be involved from start-to-finish.
4th pick: #4 (In the Stars) (9-2) - Brazilian-import has been competitive in all six grass races since being imported a year ago. Stalker is working fine and is in the barn of stakes specialist Rick Mandella.
