2nd pick: #6 (Blue Chat) (7-2) - Lightly raced filly has been freshened up since Sept. 3rd. Daughter of 'Discreet Cat' finished an even 4th at this tag going 5.5 furlongs that day racing here. Working nicely, trainer Bob Hess, Jr. will stretch her out around two-turns for the first time.
3rd pick: #7 (Tanager) (5-1) - Lasix is added to filly who is dropping into a claimer for the first time. Unraced since late August, she's not had the best of trips in either start to date. Along with the drop, trainer Eoin Harty has Bejarano aboard. Look for a competitive effort with the changes.
4th pick: #8 (Chalking It Up) (2-1) - Grey filly rated, bid, fought to a short lead, then weakened under pressure to finish 2nd of six, beaten just under a length racing at this tag and trip Oct. 15th at Santa Anita. It was her first off a two month break and first in a claimer. An obvious threat, but no 'lock' at a short price.
