Premium Pick

Top pick: #5 (KENJI'S THUNDER) (4-1) - Son of "Scat Daddy" is dropping in class. shortening up in distance, and going turf to "poly." He pressed the pace of an impressive gate-to-wire winner last out and that longer contest should help his stamina out. A pair of sharp recent works is also a plus.

2nd pick: #2 (John's Success) (7-2) - One of two entered by trainer Doug O'Neill and this colt raced evenly when debuting against special weights at Los Alamitos on July 12th. He's since come back with two fine local drills and is dropping down in class. Win candidate.

3rd pick: #8 (Social Request) (6-1) - Much improved in is second start, he showed better speed and had some traffic issues here on July 19th. Drops, and trainer Adam Kitchingman has noted speed rider Marty Pedroza signed on.

4th pick: #1 (Southeast Asia) (8-1) - Gelding was very keyed up before his debut here July 24th when racing for a $40K tag and raced evenly when the gate opened. Claimed that day by Barry Abrams. he brings him back quickly and moves him way up in class. Barn rarely claims anymore so don't just dismiss this runner.
