Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #1 (WESTWOOD'S WIZARD) (9-2) - He's one of six that are moving up to face winners for the first time. Speed/stalker has been freshened up since getting his maiden victory going 6.5 furlongs for a $50K tag June 2 at Santa Anita. He's been competitive at this distance in the past, is working fast, and draws the rail. I like his chances.
nd pick: #11 (Rainbow Squall) (5-1) - He's been sharp in four of his last five with his lone poor effort coming in a stakes June 10. One-run type draws a tough outside post, but should factor if able to avoid a wide trip. Already proven that he can compete against winners while many others can't claim that fact.
rd pick: #5 (Mucho Chrome) (10-1) - He's another last out winner and he's stretching out in distance. Four-year-olds enters in career best form after coming back from almost a year's layoff April 22.
th pick: #3 (Uber Star) (3-1) - Strong finisher won going nine furlongs June 16 at Santa Anita so you know that he can handle this mile trip. In very good form at present and a late threat in this spot.
th pick: #10 (Kona Dreams) (6-1) - Gelding stretches out in distance following an even effort going 6.5 furlongs at Santa Anita July 4. It was his first off a Bill Spawr claim and first in two months. Capable at this distance and must be left in the mix.
