Colorado got back on track with a 5-3 win over Dallas on Tuesday as Matt Nieto recorded his first career hat trick and Semyon Varlamov stopped 34 shots. Varlamov now has a 2.34 goals-against average and .929 save percentage this season in six games. Avalanche defenseman Tyson Barrie has six points (one goal, five assists) in a six-game point streak. Oscar Dansk is expected in goal for Vegas after he made 29 saves in a win against Chicago. The expansion Golden Knights are off to the best start in NHL expansion team history, but it's questionable how long they can continue to play at this level, especially with starting goalie Marc-Andre Fleury out with a concussion.  Take the Avalanche to get its second win in a row.
