Cleveland at Seattle

Cleveland won an American League-best 102 games last season and look strong all-around again. The Indians are on a 44-11 run, including 22-5 in Game 1 of a series. They trot out ace Corey Kluber, coming off his second Cy Young Award in four years. The Indians are 37-15 in Kluber's last 52 starts. Kluber had a dominant spring, going 4-0 with a 2.29 ERA in five starts while striking out 25 over 19+ innings. Cleveland is on a sizzling 36-16 run on the road, as well as 36-15 against the AL West. Seattle comes off a losing campaign, including a losing record a home. The Mariners go with Felix Hernandez, but he is on the downside of a long career. He had a 4.36 ERA last season and his batting average against (.258) was the highest since 2008. His fastball velocity remained down for the second year in a row. He has battled injuries and took a line drive off of his throwing arm in late February, limiting his spring training innings.
