3 units on Cleveland PICK () (risk 3 to return 3) RESULT: LOSS
The New York Giants desperately needed that game vs. Philly last week, but they fell short by 2 points. They have a tough schedule this year with San Francisco on deck, and four more games within their division which are always wars. They also must face Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Green Bay and New Orleans. The chances of their "A" game showing up after a tough game last week, and a look-ahead to San Francisco and beyond are looking slim vs. an 0-4 team like the Browns. The Browns won just four games a year ago, but lost their last five, running the losing streak to nine games. That looks mighty ugly, and it is. But htat has fueled the line here. As bad as Cleveland has been straight-up, they don't get blown out by anyone. Usually when you look at a team that is 0-9 in their last nine games, they are getting blown out at least half the time. However, the Browns have not been blown out by anybody, with a 14-point loss their largest, followed by an 11-point loss. The Giants are in a division sandwich, and have been known for being a no-show. The G-Men are 2-12 ATS in their last 14 vs. a team with a losing road record. Despite their inability to win, the Browns are 10-2 ATS after passing for 250+ yards in their previous game, and are 5-0-1 ATS in their last six on the road. Take the generous points and play on Cleveland.
