Cincinnati is a bad road team and plays its fifth straight game out West. After a hot start after the All-Star break the Reds have gone back to their losing ways, dropping six of eight. The pitching has gone back to being dreadful, allowing 20 runs the last two games! Tim Adleman throws better at home, with a 4.09 road ERA where opponents hit .289 off him. He comes off a loss to Texas, 6-5, allowing five runs in five innings (three homers). The Reds are on a 24-49 run on the road, plus 17-38 in interleague games. The L.A. Angels are home and hot, winning five of six. Albert Pujols slammed his 586th career homer in Monday's 9-2 rout of the Reds. Pujols has been swinging a hot bat at 12-of-25 over the last six games and he has gone deep four times over the past nine games. The Angels are 8-2 against a team with a losing record.
