Jon Lester pitched well, allowing three runs in 7 1/3 innings in game one of the ALDS against St. Louis. Lester has given up three runs on 10 hits in 13 innings against the Mets this season, including seven shutout innings at Citi Field. New York hitters are batting just .218 against the left-hander. The Cubs are 8-1 their last nine games against right-handed starters and 16-5 their last 21 road games overall. Chicago also swept the seven meetings the teams played this season. Matt Harvey allowed three runs and seven hits in five innings against the Dodgers in the Mets' 13-7 win in game three of the NLDS.  The Mets are just 1-4 their last five home games against left-handed starters. The Cubs have had three days off while the Mets had to travel cross country following Thursday night's big win against the Dodgers. Chicago is getting great value as an underdog in this matchup, so play the Cubs as my MLB Game of the Month.
