Calgary at Colorado

Colorado came just a win shy of advancing to the Western Conference Finals. The Avalanche improved itself immensely in the offseason with trades, free agent signings along with the draft to give the Avalanche an excellent chance at going far into the postseason this year. The Avalanche won 13 of its last 16 home games and seven of its last eight as a home favorite. Colorado defeated Calgary in five games in the first round of the playoffs and goalie Mike Smith has departed, so David Rittich will take over the starting spot. The Flames also signed Cam Talbot. Rittich finished with a 2.61 goals-against average. Colorado goalie Philipp Grubauer had a 2.64 GAA in 2018-19 and a 18-9 record and finished the season strong.
