Butler vs. Virginia

Virginia played one of its best games of the season on Thursday, shooting 55.2 percent with just five turnovers in its 81-45 blowout against Hampton.  The Cavaliers have won six of their last seven games with the loss being by four points to North Carolina. Anthony Gill scored 19 points against the Pirates as star players Malcolm Brogdon had an off day finishing with just 11 points and four assists. Virginia made 12-of-25 from long distance and held Hampton to 30.4 percent from the field. Butler beat Texas Tech 71-61 as Kellen Dunham led the Bulldogs with 23 points. Virginia has its best shooting team in several years averaging 48.9 percent from the floor and the Cavaliers, as usual, have the defensive edge.
