Boston at Baltimore

The Boston Red Sox lineup, which struggled in their 2-10 start have been scoring runs in droves. Through May 19th, the Sox did not score 10 runs in a game a single time, but since have done it 13 times, including last night's 15-run explosion vs. the O's to open the series. The problem has been the pitching that is injured and the bullpen which has been spotty. Jeremy Guthrie at 3-13 is not pitching well, and opponents have scored 7 or more runs in six of his last nine starts. Boston has now gone 20-7-1 to the OVER in their last 28 vs. a team with a losing record. The Birds have been flying OVER the total to a 20-7 mark in their last 27 overall, and five of the last six in this series have topped the total. The OVER is my play in this one.
