It was her first in just over two months and a career best overall. Home bred has worked twice since, shortens up a furlong, and Irad Ortiz Jr. is aboard for the first time.
2nd pick: #6 (The Two Nancy's) (4-1) - Speedy and lightly-raced, she tired here going seven furlongs at this tag Sept. 22. Filly was forced to press a quick pace and is cutting back a furlong for this attempt. Three-year-old worked fast Oct. 6 and should be involved from gate-to-wire.
3rd pick: #10 (Cetana) (7-2) - Blinkers go on filly who finished close up here following a wide trip in the same last race as'The Two Nancy's.' It was a positive effort and well bred 3-year-old must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #13 (Ava Rae) (15-1) - Much like 'Cetana', filly raced both wide and evenly while splitting that rival and 'The Two Nancy's' here going seven furlongs Sept. 22. It was her first race in 11 months and she should move forward in her second back.
5th pick: #12 (Skyler's Lil Cutie) (20-1) - Longshot is racing second back from a three month layoff and is trying the turf for the first time. Very wide here on the dirt Sept. 20, she may grab a slice at a very big price.
