Top pick: #7 (MARIE'S BABE) - She set the pace until the head of the stretch facing tougher at saratoga on Aug. 7 before tiring and came back with an even effort there on the grass on the Aug. 24. Trainer Bill Badgett Jr. drops her down in price and switches her back to the dirt. Speed/stalker draws a nice outside post and is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #3 (Suave Ending) - She put together some solid races earlier this year including a second-place finish here at this price and distance in late June. She followed that up with a poor race at Monmouth July 29 and trainer Bruce Levine has had her on the sidelines since. Working fine, she should be involved all the way.
