Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #10 (DEVINE ENTRY) (3-1) - Colt raced both wide and evenly when beaten four lengths when debuting Aug. 23 at Saratoga racing at this level going 5.5 furlongs. $100K purchase is in a strong second out barn of Linda Rice (32%) and draws a nice outside post at this six furlong trip. Gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #6 (Monteleone) (5-1) - $240,000 son of Kentucky Derby winner 'Super Saver' is shortening up in distance for his second start. He was a bit 'hard to settle' before tiring when going 8.5 furlongs in his debut Aug. 5 at Saratoga. Trainer Wesley Ward at 28% second time out, shortens him up in distance and he wins at a 31% rate when riding 'Hall of Famer' John Velazquez.
3rd pick: #9 (Triangulate) (5-2) - The morning line favorite, he raced evenly when beaten almost five lengths when debuting in a Saratoga grass sprint July 29. Trainer Chad Brown (29% second time out) has worked him four times since and has Javier Castellano back on the re-ride.
4th pick: #8 (Bourbon Currency) (5-1) - Son of 'Speightstown' sold for $260,000 this past April as a 2-year-old in training. He's moving to the grass for the first time following a pair of dirt sprints at Saratoga. May grab a share at a big price.
