Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #5 (MISTER HAYES) (3-1) - He finished second at this level going nine furlongs at Saratoga Aug. 18. It was his first off a Michelle Nevin claim and first since breaking his maiden here at this distance July 3. Strong finisher should get a fast and/or contested pace to rally into and gets s slight edge.
2nd pick: #6 (The Great Samurai) (7-2) - Gelding drops to a new low and is switching back to the dirt. He broke his maiden on the main track here June 24 and was competitive in three starts on the Saratoga grass facing tougher. A strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #10 (Prize Fight) (8-1) - Longshot tired badly when finishing 11 lengths behind 'Mister Hayes' Aug. 18 at Saratoga. He's racing first off a Jeremiah Englehart claim (a 21% winning angle) and draws a nice outside post at this one-turn mile for his speed/stalking style.
4th pick: #9 (Primo Pentimento) (6-1) - The main speed, he's been on the sidelines since July 7. Colt worked sharply here Aug. 31 and has done his best work at a mile or longer. Dangerous at a square price if ready.
