Top pick: #3 (BUD WHITE) - Lightly-raced colt broke his maiden on this surface at this mile distance in smashing style on June 23. Son of "Officer" had a very rough trip at Saratoga August 6 in his first facing winners as he was between runners most of the race, attempted to bid, but had only a "mild" response. Working fine for this and he's the horse to beat.

2nd pick: #6 (Take a Walk) - He defeated weaker $10K "open" claimers here at this trip eight days ago and was claimed by Chris Englehart. New trainer improves just about everything and he brings this gelding back quickly and with a big rise in class. He wins at a 32% rtae fresh off the claim and this 3-year-old should be a nice price.

3rd pick: #1 (Beautyinthepulpit) - He was an easy winner when debuting on a sloppy track at Saratoga July 25, then tired after pressing the pace at this level in his first facing winners. Stretches-out in distance, has the rail, and he can factor if not sent hard from the start.
