Baltimore at Boston

The Boston Red Sox have watched as Chris Sale has had a rare pair of struggles in his last couple of starts. They will be glad to get home to open a series vs. Baltimore. Ricky Portcello, last year's Cy Young Award winner, will take the mound for the Red Sox, and he has struggled most of the season, until lately. Porcello is back in Cy Young form, winning four straight, and opponents scoring just three runs, better than his 3.59 from a year ago. Baltimore has had a rough season, enduring a 20-game stretch of allowing five runs or more, and have started another stretch where they are pitching poorly, allowing 5+ runs in six of their last seven. That will be tough on them tonight with Porcello pitching very well. Play on Boston.
