Atlanta at San Diego

The Atlanta season has gone pretty much as expected, as the Braves are in a rebuilding mode and looking to the future. The same can't be said about San Diego, who made a lot of offseason moves to shore up both the offense and the rotation. One of those moves was signing James Shields to a long term contract. After a big start, he has become quite ordinary and has not won any of his last five starts, and his eight wins on the season are a huge disappointment. Shileds' track record against Atlanta has been worse at 0-2 with a 5.71 ERA in three starts against them. The Braves are 5-2 in Wisler's last seven starts to a total of 7 to 8.5, which has been the nightmare range for Shields as the Padres are 1-8 in his last nine starts to the same total range.
