Top pick: #2 (MIKE AND ROB) - Excellent second-place finish last out at Belmont racing at this mile trip. Effort was his first ever on the turf and he showed nice early speed that Oct. 23 afternoon. He draws near the hedge and is the horse to beat.

2nd pick: #10 (American Buffalo) - Son of "Chapel Royal" missed by a neck when he rallied from off the pace going 6 furlongs at Belmont Oct 13. That was his debut and today the Chad Brown barn will stretch him out in distance to a mile. Brown wins at a 24% rate second time out, and at a 23% clip on the distance increase. Win candidate.

3rd pick: #4 (Hope Still Springs) - He rallied to finish second when debuting in a dirt sprint at Saratoga on Sept. 5, then tired racing on a muddy surface last out at Belmont. Trainer Bruce Brown moves him to the turf and stretches him out in distance today and think he'll be competitive at a nice price.

4th pick: #6 (Ampersand) - He's clearly better on the grass and last out rallied to run third, only a nose back of "Mike and Rob. Home-bred by "City Zip" must be left in the mix.
