2nd pick: #7 (Dark as Midnight) (2-1) - Home bred by the solid 'Midnight Lute' chased and gamely held down the place spot when debuting here at this level and distance March 26. Bet down to 2-1 favoritism that day, he's an obvious contender in this spot.
3rd pick: #5 (Hot Squad) (6-1) - The field's most experienced maiden, he's gone 5-0-2-2 when racing in dirt sprints. Colt ran third last out and was almost three lengths behind 'Dark as Midnight' that afternoon. Can factor, but needs to do better.
4th pick: #3 (Unbridled Bull) (5-1) - One of four making their debuts, son of 'Unbridled's Song' cost $700,000 as a yearling and is in a good barn (Kiaran McLaughlin 21% first out). He breaks just off the rail and can factor if ready.
