The Bobcats are third in the FCS coaches poll, have scored 28 or more in six of their seven games, and lost only 35-34 at Idaho on October 2. Weber State allows 34.1 points a game, tied for 98th, and has given up 44 or more three times, including 52 at Colorado. The Wildcats have won three straight, 42-34 in two overtimes at Cal Poly, 38-27 over Idaho and 27-20 over Idaho State, and they score 36.3 a game, 16th. Montana State allows 18.6, 15th, and won 56-20 at Eastern Washington on October 17. Weber State can score, but it allows 34.1 a game to Montana State’s 18.6, so Montana State should win. Illinois State has outscored its opponents by 20.6 points a game, fourth among FCS teams, and allows 17.1, tenth. Indiana State has lost three straight, 42-35 to North Dakota, 44-14 at South Dakota, and 57-24 to Youngstown State, giving up 143 points in them, and its two wins were 42-35 at Eastern Illinois and 39-16 over Valparaiso. Illinois State lost 28-21 at Northern Iowa and 31-14 at home to South Dakota State, its only losses of the season, and it has scored 35 or more in four of its seven games. Indiana State allows 37.3 points a game, tied for 110th. Illinois State scores 37.7 a game against a defense that has given up 42 or more in each of its last three, so Illinois State should win. Philadelphia is 2-0 and allows 103 points a game, tied for sixth-fewest in the NBA, with wins of 106-100 at New York and 114-106 over Cleveland. Milwaukee is 0-2 and allows 130, tied with Chicago for the most, and Washington scored 70 points in the paint against it while Chicago scored 62. Milwaukee traded Giannis Antetokounmpo to Miami this offseason, and Tyler Herro, who came back in the deal, scored 24 and 34 in those two losses. No other Milwaukee player scored more than 22 in either. The Bucks played Chicago on Friday afternoon and play tonight in Philadelphia, and the 76ers last played Thursday. Philadelphia shot 27.5% and 25% from three in its two wins, and Tyrese Maxey scored 28 and 32 in them. Philadelphia scored 24 fast-break points in each win, and Milwaukee turned it over 16 and 19 times. Philadelphia won twice without shooting well, and Milwaukee gives up 130 a game, so Philadelphia should win. Montana State at -1329, Illinois State at -1150, and Philadelphia at -567 each cost too much to lay alone. Combine all three, and the parlay is -267, and I’m on all three together.
