After losing the first three games of its current road trip, Winnipeg got back in winning form with a 5-3 win against the Canucks this past Tuesday. The Jets opened this trip with consecutive losses to the Kings, Sharks, and Ducks. Those three teams, though, have been playing exceptional hockey. Seattle is not. The Kraken are 2-5 in their last seven games. They just lost 2-1 in a shootout to the Blue Jackets, who were concluding a five-game road trip and dealing with an illness that had swept the team. Winnipeg’s superior goaltending with Connor Hellebuyck projected to start, special teams, and top-line scoring make the Jets worth backing as a road favorite here. Joey Daccord remains out for Seattle. There is a significant drop from Daccord to backup Seattle goalies Philipp Grubauer and Matt Murray. Winnipeg also has revenge for a 3-0 home loss to the Kraken on Oct.23. Daccord was in goal for Seattle in that game. Take the Jets.
