Washington at Seattle

Washington and Seattle have been much more offense-oriented recently. The Capitals have scored at least three goals in each of their last three games, including a 6-5 overtime loss in Edmonton late Saturday. Washington has an excellent scoring balance, with 10 players scoring 21 or more points and six scoring 34 or more. The Caps have scored 15 goals in their four previous games against Seattle, averaging 3.7 per game, but defense has become a problem. Washington ranks 10th in goals-against after being in the top three earlier in the season. Seattle has been good for three or more goals in four of its last five games. The Kraken have increased their physical play, which could create more power-play opportunities. Seattle's defense has shown some recent slippage, too. The Kraken are surrendering an average of 3.8 goals a game during their last six contests. Take the OVER.
