Washington is out to avenge Sunday's 6-3 loss to the Penguins when the Capitals played for the first time in a week due to COVID issues and were obviously a little rusty. The Caps now are at full strength, and Vitek Vanecek had 32 saves on Sunday. He is 5-3-2 on the season. Tristan Jarry is probable in net for Pittsburgh, and he is 3-4-1 with a 3.82 goals-against average with a .864 save percentage compared to 3.26 and .901 for Vanecek. Washington has suffered a couple tough losses to the Penguins in January, including in overtime and a shootout. The Capitals are 19-9 their last 28 games after giving up five goals their previous game, and the Penguins are 1-4 their last five versus an opponent that allowed five or more goals its previous game.
