Vegas at Edmonton

Surprisingly the teams are meeting for the first time this season after Edmonton won in five games in the 2025 playoffs. The Oilers are home after a five-game trip in which they won three. Both teams played on the road last night and lost. Vegas will start Carter Hart, who has been a pleasant surprise after being called up by the Golden Knights. Hart is 3-0-2 with a 2.26 goals-against average and a .915 save percentage. The Knights have won 15 of their past 20 December games and they have won six of eight playing with no rest. Conversely, the Oilers are 0-8 playing on no rest. Vegas is 19-7 its past 26 games against teams with losing records. Connor Ingram is set to make his first start in net for Edmonton.
