Vegas at Columbus

Vegas has a chance to salvage something from a disappointing road trip that has produced a 1-3 record so far and it has beaten the Blue Jackets four of the past six meetings although this is the first time the teams have met this season. Columbus has the fewest points in the Eastern Conference and it has won only 10 of 30 home games. The Blue Jackets did beat hapless Chicago 5-2 on Saturday, but they haven't won two in a row since Nov. 24. Daniil Tarasov is likely to start as Elvis Merzlikins still is dealing with an upper-body injury. Tarasov has lost seven of his past nine appearances. Adin Hill is 15-6-2 with a 2.38 goals-against average for Vegas and he looks to bounce back from a 5-4 loss to Boston his last start.
