Vancouver at New York

The Rangers hosted the Ducks yesterday and lost 4-1. This result should come as no surprise, even though New York was favored. The Rangers are 4-9-3 at home compared to 12-5-1 on the road. New York is averaging a puny 1.7 goals a game at Madison Square Garden this season. Vancouver has also played much better on the road this season. The Canucks are 8-7-2 on the road compared to 4-10-1 at home. Vancouver is the more rested team here, too. The Canucks are much better defensively with the return of goaltender Thatcher Demko. He has made two starts since coming back from injury. The last was a 2-1 victory against the Devils this past Sunday. The other was a 3-2 home loss to the Sabres this past Thursday. Demko showed some rust against Buffalo, having last played on Nov. 11. He was much sharper against New Jersey. Take the Canucks.
