These teams previously met on April 8th of last season. The game was in Dallas, and Vancouver overcame a 5–2 deficit to win 6–5 in overtime as a $1.89 underdog. The Stars are second in scoring, averaging 4.7 goals a game. The Canucks, though, have the defense and goalie to frustrate the Stars. Vancouver boasts a 91.7 percent penalty kill rate, and its goalie, Thatcher Demko, has a career save percentage of .910 and a 2.78 goals-against average. Vancouver is healthy, while Dallas has injuries at forward.
