Perhaps that had something to do with San Jose having better-than-average teams, which is not the case now. San Jose is 2-7 and has lost all three games on home ice this season. They have been beaten soundly here by a combined score of 11-5. San Jose has a major problem on offense. The Sharks through nine games have yet to top the 3-goal mark. That spells trouble vs a Toronto team that is allowing just 2.6 goals a contest. The Maple Leafs have won five of the last seven meetings, and the Sharks no longer have a big bite on home ice.
