LOSS

A tough spot for league-worst Toronto, the second of a back-to-back road spot after losing at Ottawa last night, 4-0. Toronto is #29 in the NHL in goals scored, last on the power play, and #24 in goals allowed. The injury-depleted Maple Leafs have won just three times in 17 games since starting February with back-to-back victories. Toronto has been outscored 18-5 in its last four road games (all losses) and is 13-47 in its last 60 road games. The Detroit Red Wings beat goalie Henrik Lundqvist last night, 3-2, as Detroit moved a point ahead of Pittsburgh for the first Wild Card spot in the Eastern Conference. It was a game the Wings dominated for long stretches, but never led until Darren Helm's winner. The Wings tilted the ice against New York for much of the game, outshooting the Rangers 43-25. The Red Wings knocked off the Maple Leafs twice earlier this season scoring a total of six goals and allowing just one. They have also limited their last two opponents to 25 shots each, so look for a one-sided win by the home team. Play Detroit on the Puckline.
