Tampa Bay at New Jersey

The Tampa Bay Lightning have had the offense the last couple of seasons, but the defense was holding them back from getting over the top. They have finally found some harmony on both ends of the ice to establish themselves amongst the elite in the NHL this season with their 20-10-3 overall record. The Devils avoided the dreadful start they had last year, with wins in their first three games. While that start may have been a relief, what has happened since has been a nightmare. New Jersey is just 5-16 over their last 21 games, and the culprit is an offense that has scored 2 goals or fewer in 16 of them. That won't get it done vs. a Tampa Bay team that is better on both ends of the ice, and has taken care of business vs. losing teams where they stand at 44-21 in their last 65 against them.
