St. Louis at Utah

Even though they won't make the Stanley Cup playoffs, the Blues are finishing their season strong. St. Louis has won three in a row, beating Pittsburgh 7-5, Minnesota 6–3, and Chicago 5-3. That is 18 goals in its last three games. The spot is good here for the Blues to go into the off-season with a four-game winning streak. Utah clinched the first wild card in the Western Conference with a 5–3 win over Winnipeg this past Tuesday. The Mammoth are set to face Las Vegas in the first round. That is the game they are pointing to, not this meaningless matchup where the main goal is to avoid injuries. The Blues are averaging six goals a game during their past three games, playing a looser, faster brand of hockey. Utah usually doesn't like this type of tempo. The Mammoth also are going to have to contend with hot St. Louis rookie Jimmy Snuggerud, who has 11 points in his last six games and 21 goals on the season, most by a Blues rookie since Patrik Berglund in 2008–09. Take the Blues.
