Florida is looking to improve this season with forward Sam Reinhart signing a free-agent deal and defenseman Aaron Ekblad returning from a nasty leg injury. Sergei Bobrovsky is the No. 1 goalie even though Spencer Knight was the starter in the playoffs. Pittsburgh was fortunate to catch Tampa Bay on ring ceremony night and the Lightning came out flat and lost 6-2 to the Penguins, who still will be without Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin due to injuries. The Panthers are 12-3 their last 15 home games and 25-9 as home favorites. Tristan Jarry was 16-3 at home last season, but 9-6 on the road with a 3.26 goals-against average compared to 2.35 at home.
