Vegas has won four of five while generally getting good goaltending from their backups, Akira Schmid and Carter Hart, who are filling in for Adin Hill. The Golden Knights have won five of the past six meetings with Philadelphia, which will start Dan Vladar, who comes off a 4-1 win over San Jose after allowing five goals on 27 shots in a 5-1 loss to Pittsburgh. Vegas has won nine of 12 against the Metropolitan Division, and the Knights have won 14 of their past 17 December games. The Flyers have lost four of six against the Pacific Division, and they are 6-13 in their past 19 Thursday games. The Flyers are #23 in the NHL, averaging just 2.86 goals per game.
