Philadelphia at Dallas

Philadelphia is playing without rest for only the second time this season. The first time came on Nov. 2, and the Flyers lost to the Flames, 2-1. The previous day, on Nov. 1, the Flyers were beaten by the Maple Leafs, 5-2. Philadelphia just played a high-scoring game last night, defeating the Blues on the road, 6-5, in a shootout. The Flyers had scored a combined six goals during their previous three games before beating the Blues. Dallas is in excellent defensive form, permitting just three goals in its last three games. Only twice in their previous 10 games against the Stars have the Flyers scored more than two goals. Philadelphia has the second-best penalty kill unit in the NHL. The Flyers rank sixth defensively, allowing an average of 2.7 goals a game. Jake Oettinger is projected to be in net for Dallas. Oettinger made 27 saves on 29 shots in his last start this past Tuesday, a win against Ottawa. Oettinger has won four of his previous six starts, allowing two goals or fewer in each of those victories. Dan Vladar is expected to start in net for the Flyers. Vladar made 30 saves on 32 shots in an overtime loss to Edmonton this past Wednesday in his last start. Take the UNDER.
