Philadelphia at Columbus

The Blue Jackets have played only one bad game since Rick Bowness took over as head coach on Jan. 12. That was a 4-1 loss to Ottawa. Discounting that defeat, the Blue Jackets are giving up an average of 2.3 goals a game during their last six games. Columbus has become much more aggressive defensively than it had under the previous coaching regime of Dean Evason and assistant coach Steve McCarthy. The Flyers are up and down. They followed a huge 7-3 road win against Colorado by getting blanked by the Islanders, 4-0, in their last game two days ago. Philadelphia gives up the fourth fewest shots on net, but ranks well below average in the major offensive categories, including 30th on the power play. The Flyers have been held to three or fewer goals in eight of their last 10 games. This is the first meeting between the two teams this season. The Blue Jackets shut out the Flyers, 3-0, when they last met in April of last season. Take the UNDER.
