It has been an up-and-down season for both Ottawa and Pittsburgh. Ottawa is really struggling right now as the Senators have lost 5 straight games and the defense has left the building. The Senators have allowed at least 5 goals in all 5 games. They are also allowing an average of 5 goals per contest in their last 7, and none of those 4 teams have scored fewer than 5 times. They have also played 10 of their last 12 contests over the posted total, and the 10 games that went over the total averaged a combined 8 goals per contest. Pittsburgh hasn't fared much better. The Penguins have allowed 4 or more goals in 7 of their last 9 games and it is hard to see this game not being high scoring. Four of the last five meetings have seen 7+ combined goals scored in this series. Make the play on the OVER.
