Ottawa at Detroit

Ottawa has won six of its last seven against teams with losing records and the Senators are 5-1 after scoring at least two goals in their previous game. Those are decent trends compared to Detroit, which is fighting the Senators to stay out of last place in the Atlantic Division. Detroit has lost six straight against teams with losing records and the Wings are 1-6 their last seven versus Eastern Conference teams. Jonathan Bernier is probable in net tonight for Detroit and he owns a 3.17 goals-against average and he'll be up against Anders Nilsson, who is 5-4-1 with a 2.76 GAA. Ottawa is averaging 2.75 goals per game compared to just 2.32 for Detroit. The Senators won the first meeting 5-2 on Oct. 23.  Back the Senators.
